This page explains the app's current security posture, what users can expect from the local-first release model, and how to report security concerns responsibly.

Current security posture
- Study content is bundled locally with the app
- Study progress is stored locally on the device
- Purchases are handled through Apple App Store or Google Play
- No general-purpose user account system is currently required for the local-first version
What this means for users
This architecture is intended to reduce unnecessary data exposure by keeping early versions simple: fewer remote systems, fewer user-data flows, and fewer third-party dependencies for identity.
Payment security
Certification unlock purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. The app does not directly ask users to enter full payment card details when using standard store purchase flows.
Device and platform security
- Keep iOS or Android updated
- Enable a device passcode or biometric protection
- Install only official store versions of the app
- Avoid modified or redistributed builds from untrusted sources
Responsible use reminders
- Do not share passwords with support
- Do not email payment card details
- Do not send personal identity documents unless an official legal process requires it
Future changes
If future versions add cloud sync, accounts, remote AI tutor, translation APIs, uploaded documents, or enterprise features, this page and the privacy disclosures should be updated accordingly.
